Add curves to an edge
Straight edges look planned; curves look grown. Pull a handle from any edge and Seasonry bends it into a smooth curve, ideal for winding paths, kidney beds and natural borders.
1. Select the area and turn on Edit
Click the area you want to shape, then switch View to Edit in the top bar. Corner vertices appear, plus a small ⋯ menu button in the middle of each edge. Click it to open the side-shape menu. On a short side the button shrinks so there is still bare edge either side of it to grab, but it opens the same menu.
Tip Curves work on any surface edge, garden paths, bed borders, pond outlines. Mix straight and curved sides freely on the same shape.
2. Add a curve, then pull it out
Click the edge's ⋯ button to open the Side shape menu, then choose Add curve. An orange drag handle appears on the edge. Pull it straight out from the side and the line bends into a smooth curve that follows your cursor, with a live chip showing the curve depth in metres.
Snap to straight Drag the handle back onto the edge to flatten it again, or pick Straight from the menu. A curve is never permanent.
3. Shape it precisely
Pull the handle further out to deepen the bow, or push it across the edge to curve the opposite way. Nudge the neighbouring corner vertices to rebalance the whole side. Every edge keeps its own independent handle, so you can compose gentle S-curves and scalloped borders.
Don't over-pull Nothing stops you bowing a curve until it crosses the next edge, and nothing warns you either. The shape saves and draws as though it were fine, but the crossed lobe stops counting as inside the area, so its square metres and any plants standing in it drop out of the area’s totals. Watch the outline as you pull, and ease the handle back if the edges start to overlap.
4. Pick a side shape, then fine-tune it
Click the edge's ⋯ button to open the Side shape menu, Straight, Add curve, S-shape or Add point. Choose S-shape and the edge gains two handles; pull each one straight out to make the left bend deeper and the right bend fuller until the border flows just how you want.
Tip Every edge keeps its own side shape, mix straight sides, single curves and S-curves freely around one area.
