Put plants on the right area
Every plant belongs to one area. The planner picks it for you, the area on top at that spot, but you can override it whenever you need, and getting it right keeps your bloom calendar honest.
1. Plants snap to the area on top
When you place a plant where areas overlap, say a whole-garden area with a smaller side plot drawn on top of it. The plant is automatically assigned to the area that sits on top at that point. The plant's panel shows which area it's On this plot, so there's never any guessing.
2. Override the area by hand
Want the plant to belong to a different area? Select it, open its details and scroll down to the On this plot card. Press Change… and Other plots at this position opens, listing every area at that spot with the current one ticked. Pick another and the plant re-homes instantly, even though it hasn’t moved on the canvas.
Tip The plant stays exactly where it is. Only which area it counts toward changes.
3. Why the right area matters
An area's bloom calendar is assembled from the plants assigned to it, so a plant on the wrong area skews the wrong calendar. Keeping assignments tidy means each area reads true today, and sets you up for upcoming per-area features like care schedules and exports.
Worth a glance After moving plants between overlapping areas, check the On-this-plot card so nothing ends up counted on the wrong bed.
